Esophageal Atresia Type C

Esophageal Atresia with distal TEF (tracheoesophageal fistula).

Type C Esophageal Atresia is characterized by the lower esophageal pouch making an abnormal connection with the trachea.

This abnormal connection is called a fistula.

The upper esophageal pouch ends blindly.
